Clinical Audiologist & Speech Pathologist
I established Hearing Healthcare in 2013 after working as a Clinical Audiologist in both government and large private hearing organisations for more than 20 years. I have a background as a Speech Pathologist, graduating in 1999 and a further Masters degree in Clinical Audiology from The University of Melbourne in 2001. In 2014 I completed my Audiology Doctorate whilst continuing to work in both clinical professions.

Ear Wax Removal
Dr Glance is very experienced with ear wax removal. He uses a combination of tools to ensure the safest and easiest way to remove ear wax is achieved. Most appointments for standard ear wax are approximately 30 minutes. It is recommended that you use ear softening agents prior to your appointment (even olive oil).
Microsuction
Most advanced and guided procedure under magnification to safely remove wax
Curette
Used to gently pull peripheral wax out of the ear canal using magnification and small removal tool
Syringing
Used then wax is thick and gluey consistency - often used in combination with microsuction and curette

How long does a hearing test take?
Every hearing test is different. Complex hearing test may take 60 minutes whereas simple hearing tests only 30 minutes.
Do you offer financing options?
Hearing Healthcare prides itself on offering excellent prices on all our products and services. We do not encourage clients to take out additional 3rd party funding, rather to consider a device within your budget.
Can I get an appointment quickly?
In many cases we offer timely appointments. You will not need to wait weeks to be seen by our hearing doctor.
Will my insurance cover my visit?
If you are on a government pension you may be eligible for free hearing services from the Hearing Services Program. We are fully registered for this program.
If you are self funded your level of cover will determine any rebate - please contact your insurer as it varies considerably.
Are hearing aids expensive?
Hearing aid prices vary considerably. More advanced the technology comes with greater cost. Hearing Healthcare helps you select the right product for you. Do not pay for something you wont use. We offer highly competitive pricing to meet your needs within your budget.
Do you do home visits?
Hearing Healthcare offers both clinic based and home based diagnostic and hearing aid fitting services.
Do you have the latest technology in hearing aids?
Yes! Hearing healthcare has full access to the latest rechargeable and direct streaming hearing aids from all major brands. No need to use batteries anymore or worry about not hearing that phone call.
a) Comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluation $195 (up to1 hr)
b) Hearing aid adjustment $110 (30 mins)
c) Hearing aid check up and clean $90 (30 mins)
c) Ear wax removal varies depending on the length of time needed to successfully remove the wax. $55 to $150
d) GP medical report $55
e) Home visits charged at $50 to 20 minute drive
